Portofino`s in Kensington

Nice from afar but far from nice. Special Valentines Day Menu,, so let's increase each dinner by ten dollars. We ate here 4 days earlier and raved about it and our waitress was superior.However things changed on V Day. Slow service, no diplomacy where you want to sit and rushed by the waitress which I can't understand due to the 2 hour seating windows. Food was excellent but overpriced and the service was reminiscent of fast food mentality. Instead of problem solving, our waitress played along with our disappointment and figured if we left well then we were better off. I remember what this restaurant was like many years ago. Not likely to run out and visit again since there are many other establishments with better staff.

Food is pretty good but don't expect a quick dinner. While the service is great, this was a true Italian meal compete with all the courses and time to digest in between. I don't want to take anything away, just didn't suit our needs for dining with young children. Would definitely go back with just my husband.

I had my bridal shower here. The food was very good and reasonably priced. It was the perfect place for us.

One of my professional organizations does an annual dinner here, and service is always top notch. The food is delicious, and the banquet menu provides plenty of courses so no one goes home hungry! The slightly spiced oil for the bread is AMAZING.

If you want real Italian food, and not American fair dressed up as Italian food, Portofinos is a top recomendation. The food is top quality, the service is professional (you wont hear any "what caanI get ya hun?") Most of the staff is even Italian and you can even hear them speeking Italian from the kitchen and between servers. The atmosphere is nice, and they even have a large room in the back for catered events. I have had the chance to try both the catered menue and Items from there regualr menu, and both are spectacular.

I had the chicken marsala, which was excellent. Warm bread ahead of time was very good. My salad was a bit overdressed, but I'd rather have it that way than under. Staff was very attentive.

Attentive staff, seated quickly, straightforward menu. Make sure to try the house Italian dressing. Large portions, don't snack beforehand. Food was delicious and came out very quickly for how busy the restaurant was.

Great place to eat in or grab some take out

We had a retirement party for 20+ people. The service was amazing. Everyone was kind and attentive. They handled everyones bill easily. The staff was simply amazing. Now the food. I am a self professed foodie, and this was literally the best Italian food I have ever had, bar none, and we have been to Italy! We had the special. My husband had halibut, I had chicken topped with lobster and roasted red peppers and spinach with a delicious sauce. This was my first time here. Where have they been all of our lives???? Will come back and bring friends. Thank you Porto Fino!!!

My first time at Portofino's and it was fabulous! The hostess and servers were very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious, freshly made and served hot. I think I just discovered my favorite Italian spot!

My friend and I had a chicken dish. The chicken was very tough and hard to cut and chew. Worst meal ever.

Had the 5 course special. Everything was really really good. One of the best Chicken Parm meals i have had.

Good Italian food at a reasonable price considering that they are slightly more upscale than average. Not sure what's up with the picture of a 'Pizza' as their Google icon, for although Portofino's does Pizza for sure, they do so much more and serve many classical Italian dishes (all of which can also be had as Take-out).

Great Food, Great Service, Easy Parking.Overall a Great dinner

We ate a full dinner at the bar and had a great time. The food was very good from the diverse menu and my Bombay Saphire Martini was awesome (see photo). The bar can be very busy so you may have to eat in the restaurant section unless you're feeling lucky!

OK but not great. Clams in white sauce over pasta was a bit bland and had a minimal number of clams. Service was good.

Service, the staff and the food were very good. There were 12 of us and everyone had a different dish. Absolutely no complaints at all. Families and friends all are welcome and the management makes you feel right at home. Definitely a place to return to.

I was truly surprised by some special people in my life on June 28 I was invited to Potofino’s for dinner was great service was great the experience of the atmosphere was great My daughter had her baby shower catered from there six years prior to this event I would recommend for the food and service.
